The Season

The highly anticipated durian season in Balik Pulau typically runs from May to August, with the peak harvest arriving in June and July. During these months, the hills of Penang and Balik Pulau come alive as the "King of Fruits" reaches its prime, drawing locals and enthusiasts from across Southeast Asia. This period offers the best opportunity to experience the full diversity of the durian orchard, from the first drops of the early season to the rarer late-season cultivars, all collected at the perfect moment of ripeness.
